Almost Thanksgiving!

Wow, time really does fly. Its been a while since I've given an update, and a ton of stuff is happening! I'm starting to say things like "dog", "more", "hi", "mommy", "da da", and a word that sounds like fish or Kisha. I have been walking since the summer and am getting pretty good at moving around. I love to climb on, under, and around things. I am eating regular food like a champ and go to day care once a week. I love my "teacher" and don' t even look back when Mommy or Daddy drops me off. I had my first Halloween, which I spent at home and sick, but I still got into my costume for a photo shoot. I'm sleeping through the night and my parents are super happy about that. Since August I've been to Seattle, Vancouver, DC, Nashville, New York, and Austin. Hopefully Mom will get better at updating. In the meantime, here are some recent pictures.

USA versus Canada

When I was in Vancouver, I had the pleasure of watching my mom coach the junior girls USA national team for ultimate frisbee. They took home the bronze and beat Canada twice during the week. Both games were really exciting. Once of mom's friends took some pictures of me while we were there. Enjoy!

Almost ONE!

Its been a long time since we have posted. In the meantime, I've started walking, chatting a ton more, been to Vancouver, Seattle, and our nationals' capital. Hopefully my mom will get her act together and put up some new pictures soon, but in the meantime, here is a bit of me walking.

Friends

I also have made some friends in my short 9 months. Its fun hanging out with other people and learning how to play.

Cutie Pie

I have three teeth and one about to come in. I love to stand and clap and crawl around. My puppy already weighs more than me and we are best friends. My hair is coming in dark brown, so maybe I did get something from my mommy.

Movin' Right Along

Here are my latest videos of how I am moving around. I pull myself up and stand for several seconds without help. I crawl on my knees, and love to move. Its making it harder for mommy and daddy, but I'm sure I'll be walking soon!

7 months and a puppy to boot!

It was warm enough last week for me to show off my big arms and legs! I can't wait for summer where I can run around in my diaper only. To celebrate the warm weather and my 7 month mark, Mommy and Daddy got me this cute new puppy!

Hurley Grace is a 9 week old dane/hound mix. She is already 21 pounds and super cute. She seems calm and sweet, but who knows what will happen when she reaches adolescence. My parents must be crazy to get another baby so quickly! In any case, I love her because she lets me pull on her flabby skin and ears. We are going to be best friends.

Eating is hard...

So even though I have the teeth to do it, I'm not sure if I am into this whole eating thing. It tastes funny and I would much rather just play with the spoon. Someone tell me this gets better.

6 Months!

I have 2 of my bottom teeth. I can roll around like a champ, and when someone puts something on the bottom of my feet, I can move forward on my belly! I reach out for Mommy and Daddy to pick me up and have been trying to talk a lot. I found out that I have a really loud scream and love to use it. Its fun experimenting with sound. Last weekend, we went to Seattle for the Junior Girls Worlds Tryouts and there was this great swing! Check me out. I'm such a big boy!!!

Rock Band

Mommy, you're the best singer I've ever heard! So much better than Jon Bon Jovi.

Goodbye Cody

Cody died Friday, January 25 around 6pm. She was 13 years old. Cody was my first dog. I got her when she was just 6 weeks old. She was the cutest puppy I have ever seen. Her ears were floppy and they started to go up during the first months. When they finally were all the way up, they looked like satellite dishes. She was a spirited adolescent and loved to run away from me and get into mud puddles. She could smell them out a mile away. Maybe that was a product of being born in the desert. Cody went on countless cross country journeys. First in the Saturn, where she could sit in the back and put her head on my shoulder, then in the Ford wagon, and finally in the Tic Tac.

Its hard to loose a friend. Hard to see them age and start to struggle. It helps to remind myself that I tried to give her the best life I could. I would like to think that she was happy. And now, she is playing with BeeJay, her tail fluffy and beautiful, her joints not hurting, her eyes and ears clear, and her bark loud and strong.

Goodbye my girl. We'll miss you.

5 months and getting cuter all the time.

Max is around 18 pounds and 27 inches. He has started to sit up on his own and worm his way around. We can't wait for him to get some teeth and start crawling!

Sleep baby, sleep

4 months and counting

Max went to his 4 month check-up (2 weeks late) and had his second round of shots. He only cried a little bit and flirted with all of the nurses. He loves being social and seeing different people. He laughs out loud and tries to talk to us. Its pretty crazy how big he is getting (16 pounds, 14 ounces - 75th percentile; 26 3/4 inches - 91st percentile).

He loves his Baby Einstein exersaucer!
