The party continues....

Even though pretty much everyone was sick, we still managed to get together one more time before people started spreading out to Texas, Georgia, and Japan. With everyone so far away, its nice to be able to have us all together at least once a year!

For more pictures from the holiday, check out our Picasa website!

A Very Murray Christmas

The family spent Christmas in NY with the Murray clan. Everyone was there, including the 8 cousins ranging from 3.5 months to 10 years. 4 generations of our family under one roof. Can't get much crazier than that.

Original Sin...GONE!

Max was baptised December 23rd at OLPH. First, his godmother, Maryanne, helped to get him ready.

Then, the church with all our close family and friends!

And then on to the party where we also celebrated Papa's 90th birthday!

What?!?!?! Its already December 17th?

I'm not sure where the time goes. Max will be 4 months on January 2nd. He is smiling, laughing, and "talking" to us. He's mostly a really happy and social baby, except at 2am! We have had a busy fall with visits from all the grandparents, ultimate practices, and play dates. I'll post more pictures soon on our Picasa website and hopefully remember to post here more frequently.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

All Smiles

At 7 weeks, Max is learning how to smile. Its so amazing and we think he may be the cutest baby on Odd Street.

Check out our Picasa page for more updated pictures of the boy!

Look at me now

Aunt Maryanne comes for a visit. Do we look alike?

Some day maybe I'll be a pilot. They better not make me wear these ridiculous glasses though.

One month old...

Maryanne is here this weekend and brought some cool gadgets. Here are some pictures that she has taken with her IPhone and Blackberry. Max is certainly a cute little baby. Daddy wants to bring him to an agency, but he may be biased.

Daddy pacifies Max before he leaves for Regionals.

He is awake and alert so much now. He's like a different baby!

10 Pounds and Counting

The boy is growing so fast! At my mommy's group on Saturday, I weighed him and he is already 10 lbs. I can't believe he has gained almost 3 pounds since we brought him home from the hospital. It's amazing. Every day is different. Some days he sleeps like a champ and gives us some time to ourselves, other times he seems to just want to eat all day and get angry when he isn't eating. That must be the Murray in him....

Happy 17th!

So Max has been here for 17 days. We can hardly believe it! Chris started work this week and I have been going to class. It will be a slow transition, but so far so good. Now if we could only get Max to sleep from 1am to 4am! For some reason, that is now his fussy time. Maryanne told me that once you get used to something, it changes, so to not fret too much about any one thing. I'm trying it, but sometimes, lack of sleep makes it harder.

The good news is that Max is eating well, gaining weight, and getting cuter by the day. He is fitting into his 0 - 3 month outfits, which is a good thing because we go through 2 - 5 per day! We still think that he looks like Chris, but he does furrow his brow frequently, which Chris says is all Mommy. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, can't you see the family resemblance?

Belly Shots

How big can a belly get?

I'm at 38 weeks and can't believe how big my belly has gotten. He still sits up pretty high, which sometimes causes problems for my ribs, but he's also pretty easy to move around. Not even born and we're already pushing him around.

I've gained 33 pounds and really can't believe it. Dr. Shellnut says a lot of it is fluid. Apparently a pregnant woman can loose a liter of blood and be ok. If a normal person did that, they would be in big trouble.

We've gone on our hospital tour, gotten our crib, and are almost ready for the baby to come. Just a few more loose ends and we'll be as ready as we'll ever be! Now its just a waiting game.

Goodbye BeeJay....

Its been a while since a post, and we promise to get some updating pictures up as soon as we download them from our camera. We do have some sad news though. We finally had to put BeeJay down a couple of weeks ago. Chris had him for 17 years! He was a good boy, good friend, and great dog. I have put together a photo album of some pictures of BeeJay if you want to look. We miss him already, but know that it was time. Now we can imagine him running around with all his doggie friends in the sky. Free, strong, happy and forever young.

Bye buddy. We love you!

We recently changed our rooms around to help with the living space. Our new curtains really make our bedroom look cool. Chris says I'm turning into a photographer. I'm not so sure about that, but these pictures did come out cool.
We went to a mini getaway to our friend's place out at the Broad river over the weekend. At 32 weeks, I'll take any kind of trip I can get! Check out the fun pictures.

River trip

One great thing that I can still do is play the electric piano Mom & Dad bought for us this spring. It never needs tuning and sounds amazing. The keys are even weighted so it feels like the real thing. Of course, there are only 3 songs I can play, but I'm getting good at them!

At 31 weeks, the belly is really taking over! Its harder to bend over and tie my shoes even. And to think that I will get even bigger? I can't even imagine it.

Baby Picture

We got to experience the 3D ultrasound today and WOW! Its hard to believe that this is what is inside of me right now. He has tons of hair and moves all the time. He certainly is going to be an active one. I was 27 weeks at this appointment and he was measuring 2 lbs 9 oz. Every time we see a picture it makes our day, so we thought we would share.

Enjoy!

May 10, 2007

We are going to Atlanta tonight to meet up with the Fleedles, Shrop, Annie & Gill. I am wearing Annie's shirt and it really accents my growing belly. I am on my way to NYC for my first baby shower. Mom and Cristina French are putting it on and I am excited to see people!

Before we leave Chris gets artsy with the night vision. Its pretty cool.

Present from New Zealand

We got a package from Cara and Tank today with necklaces from the Maori culture. The spiral, or koru, represents an early fern bud before it expands, so it symbolizes new life, growth, and change. One necklace is made from greenstone and the other bone ore and they were both carved and blessed by Maori people. We love them and wear them all the time!

My clothes have started to not fit, so I am buying new things. These pants still aren't maternity, but the tie waist helps. I wish I could use my yoga ball. Not doing core workouts is so strange!
